Year 6 in the MP2 Calculator

In the Pag-IBIG MP2 Calculator, Year 6 appears only if your initial start month is not January.

  • MP2 is a 5-year program, but when your contributions start mid-year, the first year is a partial year (from your start month to December).
  • To account for this, the final year (Year 6) is the remaining months needed to complete the full 5-year period.

Example:

  • Start month: June
  • Contribution type: Lump-sum or Monthly
  • Year 1 covers June–December (7 months)
  • Year 2–5 cover full 12 months each
  • Year 6 covers January–May (5 months), completing the total 60 months (5 years)

Dividend Calculation:

  • Dividends are prorated for partial years: Dividend=Balance×Annual Rate×Months in Partial Year12\text{Dividend} = \text{Balance} \times \text{Annual Rate} \times \frac{\text{Months in Partial Year}}{12}Dividend=Balance×Annual Rate×12Months in Partial Year
  • This ensures that your earnings reflect the exact number of months your money is invested.
