Maya, for the most part, has retained their previous boost promo but with an additional incentive for Smart Postpaid subscribers.

What’s the latest change?

Maya has added an additional 1% interest boost for Smart Postpaid users which they can achieve by either:

  • entering the code that was sent to them by Smart via email or SMS
  • paying their Smart Postpaid bill (minimum amount: 999)

Breakdown of how to earn up to 11% p.a. interest

  • 3.5% base interest
  • +1.5% when you spend at least Php 250 on Airtime Load, Bills Payment, Pay via Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +1% when you spend a total of Php1000 using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +2% when you have a total spend of 25K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +2% if total spending reaches 35K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +1% for Smart Postpaid subscribers who either entered their unique code or spent 999 for their Smart Pospaid bill

Note: the bonus interest rate is applicable only to your Savings balance of up to 100K.

How long does the promo last?

The interest promo is valid from September 1 to October 31, 2023.

Blogger’s Note

The Maya website shows slightly different mechanics for some reason. As of post time, on the Maya website, it shows that to spend Php1500 to boost earnings by 0.5% as compared to the actual requirement of only 250 to get 1.5%.

The breakdown shown above is based on the Missions section of the Maya app and my personal experience.
