Finally, the long-overdue increase in monthly contributions for Pag-IBIG Regular Savings will be implemented next year (2024), starting in January.

How much is the increase?

The increase will double the current contribution that members are paying monthly. This means that employed individuals will now pay 200 pesos instead of the usual 100 pesos each month.

The good news is that employers will have to match the amount. So they will have to pay 200 pesos each month as well.

For self-employed individuals, their minimum contribution will now be 400 pesos.

Kuya Well’s Corner

I’m sure some don’t like the increase at all. But if you’re like me who loves to check their Pag-IBIG contributions, this is GOOD NEWS. Remember that dividends for Pag-IBIG Regular Savings (P1) are averaging 6% per year.

Looking at the summary of my P1, mas mataas pa ang dividends kesa sa total na nakaltas sa akin buwan-buwan.

Now, with the increase, doble ang ihuhulog ng employer mo. Para sa akin, kung pwede nga lang mas mataas pa maging contributions eh para mas malaki pa ang matching contribution ng employer, go ako dyan.
