Yow! Kuya Well here and welcome to my personal finance blog.
Why you are here
I’m guessing:
- You’re looking for ways to invest your money
- You wanted to invest in the stock market (be that Philippine or the US stock market) but don’t know how
- Want to get out of the rut
- Improve your income
Purpose of this Blog
Make personal finance easier to understand and relatable
Three years ago, I’m in the same boat as some of you: no savings/emergency funds, I wanted to invest in the stock market but I don’t know how to do so and was heavily burdened with debt. And even after learning how and where to invest and improve my finances, it was still a struggle. Believe me, andami kong nasayang na time, effort and money because hindi ganon kadaling maghanap ng information about personal finance na madaling intindihin nating mga not-so well-off na mga Pinoy. Let’s admit it, the majority of us don’t know how to buy stocks (Philippine stocks man yan or International). Heck, even with savings, karamihan sa mga Pinoy still use piggy banks while those who have bank accounts keep their money in savings accounts that earn them a measly 0.0625% per annum.
In this blog, I’ll be sharing my own experiences and perspectives on various financial topics, and I hope that my story will help you in your own journey. I’ll discuss what I’m investing in and how I’m investing in them. So if you are at a loss on how to purchase a stock (whether it’s in the Philippine market or the US stock market), then you’ll know about them here (at least the platforms I’m using and familiar with). Mababasa nyo rin dito ang iba pang pinaglalagakan ko ng ipon ko like MP2, mutual funds, crypto and the like. Please note though that I’m not going to tell you where you should specifically invest in (or what stocks to buy), rather I’ll just be sharing with you the ones I use and how I invest in them. This will give you an idea about the pros and cons and how you can actually do it yourself should you decide to do so.
Now if you think I’m already a big shot and have millions worth of assets, then you’re mistaken. I’m still your average joe learning the ropes and this is why I can say na makakarelate ako sayo.
An additional source of income
I’m not going to mince words. Remember, we’re talking about personal finance here and improving finances. And no, di ako magbebenta ng insurance or ng kahit ano’ng produkto. Power! Lalagyan ko lang ng ads tong blog para kahit paano eh may additional income stream tayo.
Intended Readers
I’m sure this blog won’t benefit some people especially those who have a wide range of knowledge when it comes to investing and personal finance.
So para kanino tong blog na to?
- Mga noobs sa investing world
- Not-so-high income and want to know kung paano makakapag save

About the Blogger
You can call me Kuya Well – a name concocted by my BPO friends.
I’m currently a Content Management Officer (a glorified term for a Content Writer) in a BPO company somewhere in Pampanga. I’ve worked in the BPO industry since 2005 and have been with 6 BPO companies.
For those who personally know me, mahilig akong maglabas ng kuro-kuro once in a while sa Facebook. Epekto sya ng pagiging Social Media Rep ko prior to my current job.
On the adventurous side, I’m a hiker. Day hike ang mga sinasalihan ko and I’ve never joined a hike na may kasamang camping (tent).
Frequency of posts
I’ll be posting at least once a week. May mga nakadraft na ako, so expect na may mababasa kayo for the next few weeks kahit tamarin pa ako magsulat or busy lang.
If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to drop them below. I’d love to hear your thoughts as well. Kahit pang-ookray pa yan.
