It’s a new month and CIMB’s previous 8% prosperity deposit campaign has already ended. That being said, CIMB is known to have a monthly promo for its customers.

This time around, all existing customers (those who have active GSave or UpSave accounts as of April 30, 2023) will get 6% interest per annum on their deposits. Please note that it’s only applied to the first 200K. The amount in excess of 200K will earn the normal base rate of 2.5% for UpSave and 2.6% for GSave.

That’s basically it. So there’s no complicated computation at the moment, no missions or tasks that need to be accomplished, and just a straightforward 6% p.a. on your first 200K deposit/balance.

By the way, this promo will last until June 30, 2023.

Blogger’s Note

According to CIMB’s FB account, this is 1 of 3 promos that they will be releasing. So let’s see if there would additional promos that will increase the interest rate even further. I’ll update this post once that happens.
