Maya has updated their boost interest promo where the changes benefit new users more. That said, existing users get an additional 1% increase in the interest rate from that of last month’s promo.

What’s the latest promo?

Here’s the breakdown depending on the type of users:

Promo for Existing Users

As mentioned earlier, the promo hasn’t changed for existing users but to refresh your memory, here’s the breakdown:

• 3.5% base interest
• +1.5% when you spend at least Php 250 on Airtime Load, Bills Payment, Pay via Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
• +1% when you spend a total of Php1000 using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
• +1% when you spend a total of Php3000 using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
• +2% when you have a total spend of 25K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
• +2% if total spending reaches 35K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya

So in total, that’s an 11% interest rate per annum.

Promo for New Users

Let’s first define what is a New User:

• Those who sign up between November 1 to 30, is considered new user for the month of November only. By December 1st, you’re considered an existing user, and the promo for December onward will follow that of Existing Users.
• A user who signs up between December 1 to 31, is a new user for the month of December only.
• If you sign up between January 1 to 31, you’re only considered a new user for the month of January.

Now here’s the promo:

• 3.5% base interest
• + 8.5% bonus interest when you spend at least Php 500 on Airtime Load, Bills Payment, Pay via Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya

As you can see, you immediately jump to an 11% interest rate per annum by just spending 500 pesos.

Additional Boost

• +1% for Smart Postpaid subscribers who either entered their unique code or spent 999 for their Smart Postpaid bill
• +1% when you successfully refer a new user using your @username

Promo conditions

The boost interest will only be applied to your balance of Php 100K. Anything above 100K (up to 5 million) will only get a 3.5% interest rate. Whereas a balance beyond 5M will not get any interest at all.

How long does the promo last?

The latest promo will run from November 1, 2023, until January 31, 2024.
