Hmmm… paano nga ba talaga magcompute ng dividends ng Pag-IBIG MP2?
I’ve seen a lot of comments on social media asking about how one arrives at the actual value of dividends earned in MP2. Do you simply multiply the total savings by the dividend rate or is there a different formula to use?
Though the dividends are given out annually, the computation of actual dividends earned is based on the monthly available balance. So the actual month that you put in your contributions is a major factor as to how much you will get in terms of dividends.
For example, a person who puts in 12K in January last year will earn more in dividends than the person who puts in 1K monthly last year. In contrast, the person who opted to accumulate 12K first and then put it in MP2 as a lump sum payment in December last year will earn way less than the person who has been putting in 1K a month from January to December.
Bale ganito lang yan, the earlier the better.
How to compute MP2 dividends
The formula is actually simple. You simply need to compute the dividends you earn for each month of contributions you make and then add them up.
Let’s say you put in 10K each for the months of January, April, and November. Here’s how to compute it:
January Dividend = 10K X dividend rate X (12/12)
April Dividend = 10K X dividend rate X (8/12)
November Dividend = 10K X dividend rate X (2/12)
Then you need to add all of them to get the total dividends for the year.
Blogger’s Note
Kung medyo naguguluhan pa rin kayo kung paano magcompute or kung gusto nyo i-check yung para sa mga susunod na taon since compounding nga sya, you can just use the calculator I made.
Please note that the calculator is available for anyone who opens the link. Ibig sabihin, pag may naglagay ng entry dyan, makikita ng lahat at ma-overwrite yung nalagay mo. So if you want to use it as your own calculator, you might want to make a copy of it first.
