How to get a Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus

Pag-IBIG, Posts, Tutorials

I just got my Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus the other day. I’m going to use it to claim my annual dividends for Pag-IBIG MP2.

What is the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus?

The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card is a discount and rewards card where you can get discounts from their merchant partners. Discounts can range anywhere from 5% to 25%.

And since it’s now a “Plus”, it is also a cash card in itself wherein you can use to receive your:

  • MP2 savings dividends (if you opted for annual dividends) **
  • Multi-Purpose loan
  • Calamity loan **
  • Provident claims **

**Not yet fully implemented. These claims are still disbursed via checks.

Who are the bank partners?

The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus is powered by:

  • Asia United Bank
  • UnionBank

How to get a Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus?

  1. You need to fill out the Loyalty Card Plus Application Form and submit it to any Pag-IBIG branch. Bring with you a valid ID.
  2. Your request will be validated by Pag-IBIG personnel.
  3. They will take a picture of you and your valid ID, have your left and right thumb fingerprints scanned and you will need to put your signature via a digital tablet.
  4. You will need to pay 125 pesos for the card fee.
  5. The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus will be printed and provided to you, along with your PIN mailer.

Kuro-kuro ni Kuya Well

Take note that it’s possible that the entire process may not be done in a single day.

Just like my experience, I had the form validated on Wednesday and I was scheduled for the actual processing on Saturday. Yung ate ko naman may ibang experience. Ang sabi is 50 lang ang i-accommodate in a day nung branch na pinuntahan nya. Although it’s a first-in-first-out, walang option for reservation for another day.

Also, even though Pag-IBIG is touting that the Loyalty Card Plus can be used for MP2 claims, based on the Pag-IBIG personnel I spoke to when I made a request to claim my MP2 annual dividend, the use of the card for all claims is still in the pipeline. This means that in the meantime, they will continue to issue checks for all MP2-related claims.

Hopefully mapush na nila the soonest possible time yung use of Loyalty Card Plus for all claims para di na need bumalik for check claims and di na need pumunta ng bangko for encashment or deposit.
