In the past, paying your Pag-IBIG MP2 contributions using a debit card or via bank will cost you 1.75% in fees. Nowadays, more banks are making it easier for you to pay your Pag-IBIG MP2 contributions with a low convenience fee.
In a previous post, I talked about how you can pay your Pag-IBIG MP2 contributions using BPI (7-peso convenience fee). This time, let’s discuss how you can use GoTyme to pay your MP2 contributions.
Steps to pay Pag-IBIG MP2 contribution via GoTyme
There are actually 2 ways to do it via GoTyme.
Option 1: QR code
- Go to the Virtual Pag-IBIG website to process your payment.
- Select GCash/Maya for the payment method. For the steps, you can follow this guide.
- Then on the page where you have the options for the eWallet to use, select QRPh. This will give you a QR code. If you’re simply using one device, take a screenshot of the QR code. Else, leave the screen open for you to scan the code using the device where you have the GoTyme app installed.
- Open your GoTyme app and tap on Scan QR. Then either upload the screenshot of the QR code or scan the QR code shown on the other device to process the payment. Since the transaction is using QRPh, the convenience fee is only 5 pesos.
Option 2: Use the “Pay bills” section of the GoTyme app
- From the main screen of your GoTyme app, tap on “Pay bills”.
- Tap Government, then Pag-IBIG.
- Input the amount you want to contribute to your MP2 account.
- The next screen will ask you for the following:
Member ID/Reference Number – input your MP2 account number
Payment Type – select Modified Pag-IBIG
Bill Date and Due Date – select the current month
Contact number – your mobile number
Tap Next once you’re done putting in your details. - Review the information you provided before tapping on Pay Now to complete the steps. Transaction fee is 7 pesos.
And there you have it. Another great way to pay your MP2 contribution.
