For existing users, there’s not much of a change to Maya Savings’ boost interest promo compared to the one they offered last month (September) since this is simply an extension of their promo that started in August. As for new users, they’re given an additional 2% boost in interest.

What’s the latest change?

For existing users, there are none but new users can get a 2% boost in interest when they spend at least 500 pesos.

Breakdown on how to earn up to 10% p.a. interest

Note: the following boost interest rate is applicable only to your Savings balance of up to 100K.

  • 3.5% base interest
  • +1.5% when you spend at least Php 250 on Airtime Load, Bills Payment, Pay via Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +1% when you spend a total of Php1000 using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +2% when you have a total spend of 25K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya
  • +2% if total spending reaches 35K using your Maya Card/QR/Mobile Number, or Checkout with Maya

Additional boost:

  • +1% for Smart Postpaid subscribers who either entered their unique code or spent 999 for their Smart Postpaid bill
  • +1% when you successfully refer a new user using your @username
  • New user exclusive: +2% when you spend at least 500 pesos

How long does the promo last?

The boost interest promo is valid until the 31st of October 2023.

Blogger’s Note

Maya has been consistent with their 10% boost promo so far. Depending on your spending habits / how you utilize the Maya services and the amount that you’re depositing, their boost promo might be better than what CIMB has to offer. But if you’re one of those who spend less or have more than 100K to deposit, CIMB’s interest promo could be best suited for you. But then again, you can always use both to your advantage.
