Saving through the Pag-IBIG MP2 program is one of the easiest and safest ways to grow your money. And the good news is you don’t have to choose just one way to pay — Maya actually gives you two options, depending on whether you want the lowest fee or the most direct route.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through both methods: paying directly through the Maya app, and paying via Virtual Pag-IBIG using Maya as your payment method.
Quick Overview: What is Pag-IBIG MP2?
The Modified Pag-IBIG II (MP2) is a voluntary savings program for Pag-IBIG members that offers higher dividends than regular savings. It’s ideal for short- to medium-term savings goals and has a 5-year maturity.
If you’re already contributing monthly to your mandatory Pag-IBIG account, you can enroll in MP2 anytime.
Option 1: QR Code via Virtual Pag-IBIG (Lowest Fee — ₱5)
- Go to the Virtual Pag-IBIG website and log in to your account.
- Go to the MP2 Savings section and click Pay MP2 Contribution.
- Enter your amount (minimum ₱500), then choose Maya as your payment method.
- You’ll be redirected to a Maya payment gateway. Log in to pay directly, or scan the QR code shown using your Maya app.
- Confirm the payment. Since this routes through Virtual Pag-IBIG, the convenience fee is only ₱5, and you’ll get a confirmation email once it’s processed.
This is the cheaper option, and it also means your payment is tracked directly in your Virtual Pag-IBIG account.
Option 2: Directly Through the Maya App (₱10 Fee)
If you’d rather skip Virtual Pag-IBIG entirely and pay straight from your wallet, here’s the direct route:
Step 1: Open Your Maya App
Launch your Maya app on your mobile phone. Make sure you have enough wallet balance to cover your savings amount plus the transaction fee.
Step 2: Tap “Bills”
From the home screen, tap Bills. Then tap View All or use the search bar.
Step 3: Choose “Pag-IBIG”
Under Government, select Pag-IBIG. If you can’t find it right away, just type “Pag-IBIG” in the search bar.
Step 4: Fill Out the Payment Details
Enter the following:
- Account Number — your 12-digit MP2 Account Number (not your MID number — you can find this on your Virtual Pag-IBIG account or MP2 enrollment form)
- Amount — your contribution amount (minimum ₱500)
- Payment Type — select M2 – MP2
- Hi pay option (Optional) — leave it blank
Double-check the details to avoid posting delays.
Step 5: Confirm and Pay
Tap Continue, review the summary, then tap Pay. You’ll receive a confirmation via SMS and email.
The convenience fee for this route is ₱10 as of this writing — always double-check the fee shown at checkout, since it’s occasionally adjusted or waived during promos.
Troubleshooting Tips
- No confirmation email/SMS after paying directly through the Maya app? This is normal — direct app payments don’t always trigger an instant Pag-IBIG confirmation, unlike paying through Virtual Pag-IBIG. Check your Virtual Pag-IBIG account within 3–5 working days to confirm posting.
- Used your MID instead of your MP2 account number? Contact Pag-IBIG to have the payment redirected — expect delays, so always double-check this field before confirming.
- Payment not reflecting after a few days? Keep your Maya receipt/reference number on hand and follow up with Pag-IBIG support if it hasn’t posted after 5 working days.
- Can’t find Pag-IBIG under Bills? Search “Pag-IBIG” directly in the Bills search bar instead of browsing categories.
Which Option Should You Use?
If saving a few pesos and having your payment tracked directly in Virtual Pag-IBIG matters to you, Option 1 (QR code) is the better route at ₱5. If you just want to pay quickly without leaving the Maya app, Option 2 gets it done in a few taps, just at a slightly higher ₱10 fee.
Either way, both are faster than falling in line at a Pag-IBIG branch — and consistency is what matters most for growing your MP2 dividends.

I followed all the steps correctly. Also got the receipt of the transaction on my Maya app. However, wala lang dumating sa akin na confirmation email/SMS from Pag-IBIG. Will monitor in the following days if posted na yung hinulog ko pero anything you suggest I can do?
Pag diretso sa Maya ang payment, di ka makakareceive ng confirmation agad, unlike if idaan mo via Virtual Pag-IBIG then choose Maya as the payment option from there. Just check Virtual Pag-IBIG within 3-5 working days for the actual posting.
