RCBC Now Offers Free InstaPay Transfers — Here’s What You Need to Know

Good news for RCBC users. Starting today, July 4, 2026, RCBC is waiving InstaPay transfer fees for eligible transactions made through its apps. That means sending money to other banks and e-wallets just got a whole lot cheaper.

Here’s the full breakdown.

What Exactly Changed?

RCBC is now offering free InstaPay transfers through two of its platforms: RCBC Pulz and RCBC DiskarTech.

The details differ depending on which app you use:

RCBC Pulz users get up to 30 free InstaPay transfers per month, as long as each transfer is at least ₱100. If you go over the 30-transfer limit, or if the amount is below ₱100, a ₱10 fee applies per transaction.

RCBC DiskarTech users get an even better deal: free InstaPay transfers with no minimum amount and no monthly cap. Unlimited free transfers, essentially.

Why Is RCBC Doing This?

RCBC is not alone in making this move. This is part of a growing trend among Philippine banks following BSP Circular No. 1238, which pushes financial institutions to keep interbank transfer fees low and closer to what they charge for in-network transfers.

BPI made a similar move on July 1, 2026, permanently removing both InstaPay and PESONet fees for its customers. Landbank also lowered its InstaPay fee earlier and started offering one free daily transfer for small amounts.

With two of the country’s major banks now offering free transfers, expect more banks to follow.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you regularly send money to family, split bills with friends, pay freelancers, or transfer funds between your own accounts across different banks, this update directly saves you money.

At ₱25 per InstaPay transaction under the old pricing, even just 4 transfers a month meant ₱100 in fees. Under the new setup, those same transfers are free.

For most everyday users, 30 free transfers a month through RCBC Pulz is more than enough. And if you are a DiskarTech user, you have no limits to worry about at all.

Blogger’s Corner

This is a big win for Filipino consumers, and honestly, it has been a long time coming. Transfer fees have always been one of those small but annoying costs that pile up over time, especially for people who use digital banking daily.

The BSP circular pushing banks in this direction deserves credit here. Competition is also doing its job. Now that BPI and RCBC have moved, other banks will feel the pressure to follow.

If you are already with RCBC, make sure you are using RCBC Pulz or DiskarTech for your transfers starting today. And if you have been on the fence about switching banks, this is worth factoring into your decision.

Keep an eye out for more banks announcing similar changes in the coming weeks.
